The Giving Heart Community Thanksgiving Feast

2008 Food Recipients, Donors and Helpers

Hunger is an all-too common occurrence and it is our pleasure to "pass on" our own donation of excess food items that
remain after the Community Thanksgiving Feast.  For 2008, The Giving Heart will donate to three organizations - Freedom
House, MARCH and the Central Virginia Food Bank/Meals on Wheel's Community Kitchen.

Every day many in the Greater Richmond area are without food to eat.  For Freedom House, such needs are met by
offering meals to the homeless and the working class poor.  For MARCH, help is provided to seven area emergency food
sites for families and individuals during times of crisis.  The Central Virginia Food Bank, in partnership with Meals on
Wheels, has created a Community Kitchen that is able to make use of many of our prepared foods.
